There was a sunrise and then just as quickly a sunset.
You know the song…
It’s not the grays or the aches, it’s not the weight or the reading glasses. Those things don’t cause us to pause. It’s that feeling inside that something is gone and it’s never coming back again.
Children play by the slides and on the swings; some choose to sit aside and wait for what the day will bring.
They are strong, cynical and carrying all the answers to all the questions about life in a college textbook.
Time just keeps on passing whether you are laughing or crying.
Time…
Like a horse running wild, through the grassy valleys and across the streams.
Time…
Like the wind blowing, waking us and causing us to forget our dreams.
We never knew where to find the answers when the questions were thrust at us with only seconds to respond.
We were lost, but determined, to find our way on our own, no asking strangers for directions.
We were once so strong and more knowledgeable than the ones who brought us here.
We thought we knew the way, take a left turn around that tree..
The tree of life…
Where childhood is a blizzard of things to do and learn, how to act and who to be.
Adulthood is simply an obstacle course, the lessons of jumping and diving are never taught, we are left to learn them on our own
As the time passes, we find ourselves alone. Three o’clock in the mornings, staring at the ceiling, with our back to our partner, trying to recall what took our life force away.
Deep inside we know…
Those sunrises and those sunsets that simply appeared…
You know the song…
The people that we trusted to be there to answer our questions at least for me, are long gone, sadly. My favorite times are the sunrises and sunsets
1 know the song very well.
signed a terrible sleeper!

Its a strange world and there are very few, if any people I can honestly say I value their opinion on life.
