Yellow brick roads are meant to be followed. I’ve wandered away from them too many times while searching for the land of Oz.

I’ve been the scarecrow, but I’ve never been the Tin man or the lion.

We all have a path to follow. Some choose the easy way while others are never given the choices of when to turn, when to head back, when to turn.

It’s a journey, we are surely not looking forward to the destination. Some get there too soon, others go on and on.

The sights and sounds can be awe inspiring, if you can open your senses, open your heart, the love embraces are the keys to life.

I never was one for yellow brick roads, never was one to follow the rules. I never did make it to the land of Oz.

I’ve had dreams that disappeared once I opened my eyes.

I’ve had realities that have shaped my lives, and exceeded any dreams I ever had. I’ve lived a few lifetimes and I have more to live.

Sixty years on, I keep on going.

Too many lives left to live. So goodbye yellow brick road, though we never even said hello.
